El Segundo (or The Second) aka "Silver" or "Segundito" is a Russian Blue cat who was part of a 9-cat rescue we helped with in September of 2024. He was one of the smallest and looked slightly under-nourished. He also had something wrong with his left eye, and the other cats were hissing at him.
That all ended up being the reasoning behind the decision to give him a foster home - which quickly became permanent.
He charmed his way into our hearts with very little effort; even that of Fileberto, who was skeptical at first. Who could blame him? He'd only recently been granted official housecat status and was still unsure about just what that meant. It was win-win for everyone though - since Fileberto seemed to know that he needed to step up to his new roll as big brother for little Segundo, and now the two are best pals!
